Zak was born into a military family in Anchorage, AK. As the son of a soldier, Zak lived in several countries and multiple states. Zak then attended the University of Tennessee and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in both philosophy and religious history. After college, Zak traveled to Chicago to teach high school through the Teach for America program. During this time, his writing career began with a few short stories. Later he would end up in Nashville, TN where he managed several businesses and began creating comics with artist Christian Venson. The creative life led him to Hollywood in 2016 where he would dive headfirst into the entertainment industry. Zak has worked in prop fabrication and set design at Fonco Studios, been an Art Director for several projects, directed multiple independent projects, and written for comics and the screen all the while. He has written, produced, and directed several of his own scripts. He was recently signed to D2D Talents for writing and is looking forward to a bright future.
