Katherine Celio is an experienced actor born and raised in California. Her first film, Around the Bay, gained national praise from critics across the country. She went on to star in numerous films and commercials taking her around the world. In the film Malaise, she won best actress for her depiction of a desperately ill woman in a post-apocalyptic world. She was also nominated for best actress in the film Seeking Solace for her portrayal of a veteran suffering from PTSD. In 2016, she was cast as the lead in the period drama, The Yellow Wallpaper, based on the prominent short story written in 1892 by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Most recently, she can be seen in the modern fantasy series, The Crooked Tower.
She began her training in San Francisco at the Shelton Theater under Jean and Matt Shelton, and then went on to train in the Meisner Technique at the Bay Area Acting Studios. Her love of film and television led her to complete her bachelor’s degree at San Jose State University in film.
Katherine has also starred in numerous action films, performing her own stunts. She currently trains at the National Wushu Center in Los Angeles, and is skilled in long fist, broadsword and staff.
